I feel like Indeed had a really powerful ad. It had none of the elements you described but it touched really deeply into the reality that we're living in times of record unemployment and what relief from that could feel like. It wasn't a fun ad, in that it didn't look too expensive, but I remember how it was sensitively made.
Yeah, I would classify Indeed in the "Halftime in America" Chrysler category. Captured the sentiment of the current year and I found it really powerful as well, a more poignant version of the lemons ad. But definitely one trade-off optimizing for current year is how quick the human mind changes to the next year :/
